Brianna Tadeo (they/them) is a visual artist whose work explores impermanence through experimental photography. Blending analog and digital methods, they use light, ephemeral processes, and discarded materials to reflect on memory, transformation, and loss. Their work is rooted in tactile exploration and the quiet magic of light.
Originally introduced to the darkroom at age 12 in Philadelphia, Tadeo has cultivated their approach over years of material exploration. They hold a BFA from California College of the Arts and an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of New Mexico. They currently live and work in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
They have been selected for the FORECAST 2025, a survey of contemporary photography organized by SF Camerawork. Their work has been exhibited at SF Camerawork, Personal Space, the Lionel Rombach Gallery, Northlight Gallery, Tamarind Gallery,the Sanitary Tortilla Factory, Strata Gallery, Harwood Art Center, John Sommers Gallery, Anglim Gilbert Gallery, AIPAD in NYC, Gallery 1/1, and Art Intersection. Additionally, their work has been featured in publications such as SOVO//Magazine, One Twelve Publishing's Diffusion IX issue, The Hand Magazine, and Group Study.
